G36 & G36V

Developed by HK in the mid-1990s, the 5.56 mm G36 is a true modular weapon system made almost entirely of a tough, carbon-fiber reinforced-polymer and uses a simple, clean-shooting, self-regulating operating rod gas system. A lightweight weapon, the G36 can be configured as a rifle, compact carbine, carbine, or light support variant that delivers high performance with extremely low maintenance Exhaustively tested and currently fielded with the German, Spanish, and Greek Armed Forces, the G36 is also used by many international law enforcement agencies and other military customers.

G36K & G36KV

The 5.56 mm G36K (K for "Kurz" short) is the carbine variant of the G36 and possess all the features of the full length G36 rifle but is equipped with a shortened 12.5 inch (318 mm) barrel and abbreviated handguard. With the buttstock folded the G36K measures just 24.21 inches (615 mm) overall, making in handy in confined spaces like inside a vehicle.

G36C

The shortest member of the 5.56 mm G36 family, the G36C is a Compact Carbine with a 9 inch (228 mm) barrel. With the buttstock folded it measures 19.67 inches (500 mm) and is shorter that a 9mm MP5. The G36C is the shortest standard production 5.56 mm carbine made. Its short size makes it especially handy for vehicle operations or any application where a powerful and compact 5.56 mm weapon is required.

HK416C
