ABC 79M Amphibious Armoured Personnel Carrier, Romania




The ABC 79M 4x4 amphibious armoured personnel carrier was produced by
ROMARM for the Romanian Army. The vehicle was previously known as TABC
79.





The Romanian Army is the only operator of the ABC 79M vehicles.







The Romanian Army deployed ABC 79M vehicles in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.







ABC 79 is a modified version of the TAB-77 8x8 armoured personnel carrier.







The standard equipment fitted in the vehicle include automatic fire
detection and suppression system, NBC system, night vision devices and
front-mounted winch.

ACV-S Tracked Armoured Combat Vehicle, Turkey




The Armoured Combat Vehicle - Stretched (ACV-S), developed by FNSS.








The ACV-S fitted with the two person Bradley Infantry Fighting
Vehicle turret designed by United Defense (now BAE Systems Land and
Armaments).

The ACV-S Eryx Squad Vehicle carries a fully-equipped squad of soldiers and is armed with the Eryx anti-armour-missile system.

The ACV-S is powered by a Detroit Diesel 6V-53T turbo-charged diesel engine, rated at 350hp or optionally 400hp.

AMPV Armoured Multipurpose Vehicle, Germany



Full-scale production of the AMPV will commence at the end of 2011.

AMX 10RC Wheeled Armoured Reconnaissance Vehicle, France




The AMX 10RC is a medium-weight reconnaissance vehicle.










The TML 105 turret and 105mm Nato standard gun.








The AMX 10RC with the TK 105 turret was used extensively during Operation Desert Storm.







The TK 105 and TML 105 turrets use a mantlet sight, which is firmly linked to the movements of the gun for firing accuracy.

The AMX 10RC is being upgraded with a new battlefield management system, developed by Nexter and EADS.

Aravis Multipurpose Heavily Protected Armoured Vehicle, France




Nexter Systems developed the new Aravis family of multipurpose
heavily protected armoured vehicles, first shown at Eurosatory, Paris,
in June 2008.








The Aravis vehicle provides high levels of protection against threats
from ballistic, mine, artillery burst and improvised explosive devices.







Aravis can be fitted with a battle management system and a remotely controlled weapon system.

ARMA 6X6 Armoured Tactical Vehicle, Turkey




ARMA is a wheeled armoured tactical vehicle developed privately by Otokar.







ARMA 6x6 was developed for Ozel Maksatli Taktik Tekerlekli Zirhli Arac programme.







The vehicle can carry commander, driver and eight dismounts.







The amphibious vehicle can travel at a top speed of 105km/h.









The ARMA 6x6 has a turning radius of 7.85m.

ASCOD (Pizarro / Ulan) Armoured Fighting Vehicle, Spain



The ASCOD armoured fighting vehicles have a reduced signature due to low silhouette.

Range Sight.








The IFV is armed with a 30mm Mauser MK 30-2 automatic cannon with a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun.

Al Fahd Armoured Vehicle, Saudi Arabia




The Al Fahd is the first armoured vehicle designed and built in Saudi Arabia. It is an eight-wheeled armoured vehicle.








The vehicle is able to negotiate natural and engineered trenches to 2,500mm and 2,000mm.








Al Fahd is able to negotiate side slopes to 55%.








Over very rough terrain and in negotiating large obstacles, the
combined gas and hydraulics suspension system provides a very smooth and
comfortable ride.







Al Fahd can both climb and descend gradients of 80%.







Wheels were selected rather than a tracked system because they provide better manoeuvrability on both roads and rough terrain.








An hydraulic amphibious system is available as an option. The maximum
amphibious speed is 8km/h. The hull is water-sealed and airtight.

Al-Thalab Long-Range Patrol Vehicle, Jordan




Al-Thalab provides a capable and reliable patrolling platform.







The LRPV can operate without refuelling or support for a prolonged time in remote rugged areas.







With power-assisted steering, the Al-Thalab can operate efficiently at high altitude, rugged terrain and desert conditions.








The Al-Thalab is equipped with two gun mounts in the front and rear to support weapons and recovery equipments.







Built with simple electrical and mechanical systems, the LPRV is fully air transportable.







Al-Thalab can carry four crew members along with ammunition, weapons,
fuel, equipment lockers, supplies and water sufficient for a ten-day
patrol.
